Job summary

Qualifications

  • Moderate coaching experience with student-athletes.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license; willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee practices and contests with the head coach to provide a positive experience for student athletes.
  • Develop recruitment plans to identify and enroll student athletes.
  • Establish team rules and protocols and implement them.
  • Support student athletes' development and educational experience.
  • Emphasize academic progress, retention, and graduation efforts.
  • Attend recruitment trips as needed to recruit athletes.
  • Supervise the team at off-campus competitions and ensure compliance with rules.
  • Provide recommendations on lineups and game strategy.
  • Represent the university at athletic events.
  • Oversee fundraising activities for team expenses.
  • Supervise and develop department staff and manage performance.
