This position is seasonal, primarily from October 2025 to January 2026, with occasional travel and a biweekly stipend.

About The Role

As an Assistant Coach, you will support the Varsity Head Coach in practice planning, player development, game strategy, and fostering team culture. Your leadership and basketball expertise will help student athletes excel academically and athletically.

Responsibilities

• Planning and conducting practices and drills
• Providing 1:1 instruction during practice
• Assisting in game strategies, scouting, and in-game decisions
• Promoting discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork
• Supervising athletes during practices, games, and activities
• Contributing to team selection and evaluations
• Monitoring academic progress
• Assisting with equipment and team operations

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• High school coaching or competitive playing experience
• Strong basketball fundamentals and strategy knowledge
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
• Ability to pass background checks and complete safety training

Preferred Qualifications

• Coaching or educational background
• Mentoring experience
