Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in managing and daily operations of the NCAA sport program. You will help with training plans, competitive strategies and student-athlete development to promote success in competition, academics, and personal growth.

You will collaborate on recruiting, mentor student-athletes, and ensure compliance with NCAA rules while supporting travel, equipment, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience - Collegiate coaching or playing experience is required (less than 1 year).
• Licenses/Certifications - Driver's License and PA residency are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in developing and executing all aspects of the sport program.
• Collaborate to identify, evaluate, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes with strong academics and character.
• Promote inclusive team culture, leadership, accountability and student-athlete well-being.
• Assist with travel coordination, equipment procurement/maintenance, and scheduling of practices and competitions.
• Support NCAA, conference and institutional rules and align with the university's mission and goals.
