Job summary

Quinnipiac University is hiring an Assistant Coach for Acrobatics & Tumbling to assist in program management, coaching, recruitment, and coordination of the women's acrobatics and tumbling program.

You will work with the Head Coach on practice planning, team development, and compliance, while supporting travel, games, and future alumni relations within a competitive NCAA environment.

Qualifications

  • Sport-specific instruction experience for acrobatics & tumbling.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Mandatory USA Gymnastics Professional Development Certification and Safe Sport Training.
  • Mandatory NCATA Annual Training.
  • Ability to plan and manage a 2–3 hour practice.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when needed.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends.
  • Evidence of collaboration across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct student‑athletes during practices and competitions.
  • Assist in weekly staff calls and department coordination.
  • Support head coach with practice planning and distribution.
  • Attend home meets and travel with the team as needed.
  • Assist in recruiting, visits, and camp development.
  • Support alumni relations and fundraising efforts.
  • Handle travel, scheduling, budgeting tasks, and related duties.

Overview

Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics invites application for an Assistant Coach, Acrobatics & Tumbling to assist in program management including coaching, administration, recruitment and coordination of the collegiate women’s acrobatics and tumbling program.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all university and conference rules and regulations.
  • Instruct student‑athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests.
  • Participate in weekly staff calls and required department staff calls (when available).
  • Assist the Head Coach with daily and weekly practice planning and distribute to team and appropriate departments.
  • Be present for all home meets.
  • Travel with team to the extent available for all away competitions.
  • Work with the Head Coach and Assistant Coach to submit NCATA SV File submissions prior to competition.
  • Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned), scheduling, official visit paperwork, informational sessions, team promotion, and camp development and compliance.
  • Assist in the future development of Acrobatics & Tumbling alumni and community relations.
  • Assist with team travel, scheduling, budgeting and fundraising.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements.
Qualifications
