A prominent university in Tennessee seeks an Assistant Men's Golf Coach for their NCAA Division I program. The role involves coaching, recruiting top student-athletes, organizing team activities, and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree, practical coaching experience, and a strong commitment to student development and community engagement.
Work directly with the Head men's golf coach to organize and administer all aspects of our NCAA Division I men's golf program. Essential duties: day to day coaching of assigned student athletes; individual skill instruction, recruiting academically sound and competitive student athletes to compete on the NCAAA Division 1 level; scheduling to enhance greater assess to qualify for NCAA championship opportunities; organize and arrange team travel plans; oversee and promote compliance of NCAA rules among staff, student athletes and representatives of athletic interest; serve as a positive role model for the student athletes and budgeting assigned funds for the golf program. The incumbent will oversee on- and off-campus recruiting, assist with meet preparations, and player improvements. The Incumbent will work to enhance the image of the university and promote positive community relations. Additionally, other duties will include but not be limited to working with the Head Coach to oversee NCAA NIL fulfillment for the student athletes, serve as a liaison with the Academic Enhancement Center overseeing academic progress of Student athlete and work with the Strength and Conditioning staff to oversee workouts that will improve the skills of our men's golf student athletes to compete for Conference an National titles. There may be other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or the Head Coach.
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in HHP or a related field preferred. Two (2) years experience as a Golf professional, NCAA Division I player and /or coach at the professional or NCAA Division I college required. Graduate Assistantships will qualify as relevant experience.
