Job summary

Schoolcraft College is seeking an Assistant Coach for the 2027 Fall season. The ideal candidate will create practice plans, tailor position training, and creatively build team chemistry. Specialization in 1–2 positions with insight into offensive or defensive play is valued.

Responsibilities include recruiting athletes, learning gear order processes, and breaking down game film for players. Travel with the team to matches is required throughout the year, with practices mornings 7:00–9:30 and

Qualifications

• Ability to design and adjust practice plans and position-specific training.
• Experience in recruiting athletes for college programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with gear ordering processes or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop practice plans and position-specific training.
• Lead team-building exercises and contribute to offensive/defensive planning.
• Recruit student-athletes and manage assessment processes.
• Assist with gear orders and equipment management.
• Break down game film for players and coaches.
• Travel with the team to matches throughout the year.
• Coordinate schedules; practices are mornings 7:00–9:30, with conference games Mondays and Wednesdays.

• Able to practice plan, position training plan as needs of the team go. Also creative in team building exercises. Should be able to specialize in 1 or 2 positions. As well as be savvy on offensive or defensive side the ball
• Have experience in recruitment process of athletes.
• familiar or willing to learn gear order process
• able break down film for athletes
• able to travel with team to matches for the year.
• Practice times are mornings 7am to 9:30am. Conference games are Monday and Wednesdays.
