Responsibilities

  • Assists with coaching duties which may include practices, games, scouting, recruiting, player development, conditioning, and the off-season program.
  • Represents the college with external individuals and organizations within the college service area to advance the athletics program and community recreational offerings.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the athletic field, mowing, trimming, etc.
  • Collect and maintain student-athlete data to provide accurate information for reports and/or information about the athletics programs.
  • Completes required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Location
  • All positions are considered on-site roles.
  • After six months of employment, some positions may be eligibleto apply for a hybrid work arrangement based on jobresponsibilities, operational needs, supervisor approval, andDallas College policy.
  • Academic (Faculty) positions require an on-campus presence,even when teaching online courses, in accordance with statelaw.
Position Summary

Assists the Head Coach, of the particular athletic program assigned, with coaching duties which will include scouting,recruiting, player development, workouts, practices, games, studyhall, and off-season program(s).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of and experience of sports equipment maintenance.
  • Understanding of non-athletic aid program.
  • Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintainrecords, generate reports, and communicate with others.
  • Oral and written communication skills to deal effectively withindividuals and varying levels of Dallas College staff.
  • Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customerservice.
Physical Requirements

Normal physical job functions performed within a standard officeenvironment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individualswith physical challenges to perform the essential duties andresponsibilities. Work may involve moving and lifting of light tomoderately heavy materials or equipment requiring physical strengthand agility.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
  • Associate’s degree or higher and two years of experienceteaching/coaching environment or high school graduate and fouryears of directly related experience in teaching, tutoring, ortraining environment.
  • An understanding of NJCAA policies and philosophy.
  • Official transcripts will be required.
  • Bilingual preferred.
