United Future in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a full-time Assistant Chief Medical Officer to provide clinical leadership and administrative oversight within a Federally Qualified Health Center setting. The role combines active patient care with strategic and operational leadership, partnering with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure high-quality, compliant clinical operations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school and board eligibility/certification.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain; DEA license and PA CS Registration.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with prior leadership experience.
• Experience supervising physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Strong knowledge of quality metrics and healthcare regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care while maintaining an active clinical practice.
• Oversee medical providers to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate physicians and APPs.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives (QI/QA) and monitor clinical metrics.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and program development.
• Improve access to care by optimizing provider templates and coverage planning.
• Develop strong working relationships with clinical staff and community partners.
• Represent the organization in professional, regulatory, and community settings.
• Develop clinical policies, workflows, and operational procedures.
