Statement Of Purpose

Iona University seeks applications for the position of Assistant Club Men's Rugby Coach. Reporting to the Director of Club Sports, the Assistant Coach is responsible for all aspects of the club program and is committed to the academic mission of the University. The role involves teaching Rugby to student-athletes, coaching, recruiting, and retaining rugby players.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Abide by all college, campus, club sport policies, and conference/league requirements.
  • Plan, organize, and lead the club sport program operations, including coaching, fundraising, budgeting, and travel.
  • Travel with and supervise the team during home and away games, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Background in rugby is essential.
  • Knowledge of current men's rugby strategies and techniques.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
