Description

The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a part-time limited Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator. In this role, you will provide research support in a cutting-edge lab. Under the supervision of the PI and study staff, responsibilities include answering phones, subject recruitment and scheduling, data acquisition, and data entry. Tasks, work schedules, specific requests, and assignments are provided by the PI and study staff.

You will be expected to carry out routine tasks and specific assignments to meet deadlines with minimal supervision and work well in a team. Specific tasks include:

• Facilitating recruitment of subjects, conducting telephone screenings, and scheduling appointments.
• Managing data collection, administration, scoring of study tests, and database entry and validation.
• Assisting the PI with imaging data collection, booking MRI scanner time, instructing families, pre-training children, assisting in scanner operation, and post-scan data transfer.
• Ensuring fidelity of TNS treatment through regular communication with parents, instructing and assisting with treatment-response and side-effect scales, and following up to ensure timely completion.

Pay Range: $27.08 - $43.55

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a clinical research setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and teamwork.

• Analytical skills to assess protocols and define solutions.
• Attention to detail for accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to travel to various sites, meetings, and conferences.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working with children aged 8-12, especially with special needs children.
