GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director / Nurse Manager, the Assistant Clinical Manager assumes both a clinical and management role. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the provision of patient care services within the department. The Assistant Clinical Manager assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets, quality improvement programs, staffing levels, goals, objectives, regulatory compliance, and policies within the department. Additionally, the Assistant Clinical Manager assists in the evaluation and discipline of personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Two years of RN experience.
  • Prefer 1 year experience as an Assistant Clinical Manager for L&D, Postpartum, NICU, SCN, or like Maternal Child Health Unit.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES:

  • Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
  • BCLS/ACLS per unit's standard.
  • Certifications appropriate for specific unit. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Fetal Monitor Credentialing or Certification required within 6 months of hire.
