Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Cardiac Cath Lab in Winston-Salem. The ideal candidate has a BSN or Allied Health Sciences background and at least three years of experience in a cardiac invasive lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Must hold an RN license (or applicable Allied Health registration) and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN and/or graduation from an Allied Health Sciences Program.
• Three years' experience in a Cardiac Invasive Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Current registration, license, and/or certification as a Registered Nurse and/or Allied Health certification; BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Manages patient care and staff.
• Promotes a cooperative working environment by utilizing effective communication skills.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, co-workers, and facility.
• Coordinates TJC disease-specific certifications.
• Coordinates all departmental POCT competency and quality controls as directed by the POCT coordinator for the hospital.
• Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Guidelines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN and/or graduation from an Allied HealthSciences Program. Required three years' experience in a Cardiac Invasive Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

Current registration, license, and/or certification in applicable state as a Registered Nurse and/or Registration / Certification by Allied Health Sciences program. Current Certification in BLS and ACLS.
