Role Description:

The Assistant Clinical Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Brooklyn, NY. This position supports the Clinical Director in overseeing clinical services, including coordination and supervision of mental health and behavioral health programming for students. Daily responsibilities may include providing clinical supervision to staff, collaborating with educators to integrate therapeutic goals into the school environment, and monitoring student progress and care plans. The Assistant Clinical Director will participate in case conferences, liaise with families and outside providers, and contribute to the development and refinement of clinical policies and procedures. The role also involves maintaining appropriate documentation, ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards, and promoting a supportive, student-centered culture across the school.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with experience applying these domains in youth or school-based settings.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Clinical Supervision, including mentoring clinical staff, supporting best practices, and overseeing treatment planning.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Behavioral Health and its application to individualized interventions, crisis response, and behavior support plans.
• Candidates should possess relevant training or education in Medicine or related clinical fields that inform integrated care and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Advanced degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related mental health field (e.g., PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMHC) preferred; appropriate licensure or eligibility for licensure is highly beneficial.
• Experience working in school, clinical, or residential settings with neurodiverse or emotionally complex students is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with families and staff, and maintain confidential, accurate clinical records.
• Strong organizational skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices that support diverse students and families.
