We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Assistant Clinic Manager Trainee to join our growing Urgent Care team. This hands-on leadership development role is designed to prepare you for promotion into a full Assistant Center Manager position. You will work closely with the Center Manager to support daily clinic operations, mentor staff, oversee workflows, and ensure an exceptional patient experience. This role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Operations & Leadership
Assist with daily clinic operations: scheduling, staffing, inventory, and patient flow
Help maintain a productive and professional work environment
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance documentation
Travel to other clinics during training and as needed for support
Provide leadership coverage when the Center Manager is off-site
Team Management & Training
Mentor and coach front desk and clinical staff
Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
Review timecards and support payroll accuracy
Promote a positive team culture and exceptional service standards
Patient Care & Front Office Support
Assist with triage, treatments, and clinical procedures
Support providers during patient care activities
Perform front-office duties such as check-in, insurance verification, and billing
Respond to patient concerns and ensure a high level of service
Compliance & Improvement
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and clinic policies
Participate in process improvement initiatives and leadership meetings
Must be available to work two weekends per month
Must be available to work at least half of designated company holidays
Required to travel to multiple clinic locations during training
Full participation in a structured training program including shadowing and assessments
Required
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NRCMA)
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years in a healthcare, customer service, or supervisory role
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with EMR systems
Preferred
Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or a related field
Experience in pediatric or urgent care settings
Bilingual (Spanish)
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with valid Texas license
