EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is seeking an Account Assistant for our Los Angeles office. You will assist with processing applications, policies and client correspondence, while learning insurance operations under a mentoring program.
The role requires a college degree (preferred) and the ability to obtain a California Property & Casualty license within 90 days. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills are essential in our fast-paced environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
You will be involved in various activities including lunch and learns, external workshops relevant to communication, time management, business etiquette skills as well as insurance operations training. There are core duties listed below where a designated mentor will be assigned to further develop Account Assistant’s knowledge of insurance, finance, sales and marketing.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
The hourly pay range for this position is $30.77 - $34.53 per hour and standard workweeks are 37.5 hours. This range represents the employer’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting.
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
