Job summary

Imaginative Beginnings Early Learning Center in Ohio is seeking a full-time Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants through Pre-K and support daily routines and learning experiences. You will assist with developmentally appropriate activities, supervise children, maintain a clean, organized classroom, and communicate with families.

Most positions follow daytime schedules between center hours (e.g., 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to complete required trainings including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Help prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning and play activities.
• Supervise children during play, learning, meals, outdoor time, and transitions.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom documentation and daily records.
• Communicate respectfully with families and team members.
• Follow state licensing requirements and center policies.
• Work collaboratively with classroom and center leadership to support consistent program quality.

Imaginative Beginnings Early Learning Center is seeking a full-time Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, wants hands‑on experience in childcare, and is interested in growing in the field of early childhood education.

We are hiring for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Classroom placement is based on experience, interests, and current center needs.

Typical schedule: Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule (for example, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) within center hours of 5:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

What You Will Do

As a Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside classroom leaders to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging environment and support children throughout their daily routines and learning experiences.

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
• Help prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning and play activities
• Supervise children during play, learning, meals, outdoor time, and transitions
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
• Assist with classroom documentation and daily records

Qualifications

Required

• At least 18 years of age

Preferred - not required

• Previous experience working with children, including childcare, daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar settings
• Interest in early childhood education or child development
• CDA (Child Development Associate)
• Dependable, patient, caring, and team‑oriented attitude

No formal childcare experience is required - we will train the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs
• Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
