Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) in Milton, FL is seeking a talented Child Welfare Assistant Program Director to support case management operations and ensure safety, permanency and well-being of children served.

APD will coordinate with Program Director and Supervisors, oversee quality assurance processes, and participate in recruitment and training of staff. This role requires strong leadership and a background in Child Welfare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services required.
• Child Welfare certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of job-related experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and administrative abilities; able to interpret statistics to monitor contract performance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily operation of assigned Child Welfare Case Management units to assure client safety and case management progression toward agency’s contract goals.
• Identifies cases of special interest or increased risk, and arranges staffing with Case Managers, Supervisors and Program Director.
• Reviews random samples of case files and Home SafeNet notes to determine effectiveness and documentation quality.
• Meets with Supervisors and Program Director regularly to review cases and ensure supervision compliance.
• Participates in CQI activities and agency policy formulation; attends staffing and meetings as required.
• Available by cell phone 24/7 unless on approved leave; participates in recruitment, hiring and training of new employees.
