Job summary

Kalitta Air is seeking a high-caliber aviation leader to manage pilot teams and uphold the highest standards of flight operations and safety. You will mentor pilots, coordinate with training, safety, and compliance, and support the Chief Pilot in representing aviation operations for a global cargo network.

The role requires FAA ATPL, substantial flight hours, and readiness to complete Kalitta Air’s Captain upgrade program on B747 or B777, with a focus on regulatory compliance and exceptional

Qualifications

• FAA Multi-Engine ATPL or Restricted Multi-Engine Airline Pilot Certificate required.
• Minimum 2,500 hours total time (4,000 preferred); 1,500 hours turbine (jet); 500 hours turbine PIC.
• Current FAA Class 1 Medical.
• U.S. Passport; unrestricted international travel.
• Ability to pass a 10-year security background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing.
• Completion of Kalitta Air’s Captain upgrade program on B747 or B777.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day functions of all pilots as directed by the Chief Pilot.
• Ensure adherence to Kalitta Air policies and standard.
• Prepare and distribute crew instructions, bulletins, and updates.
• Collaborate with Flight Ops, Training, Safety, and Compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
• Assist with interviewing, selecting, and onboarding pilots.
• Represent Chief Pilot when delegated and perform line-qualified duties in the cockpit on B747 or B777.
