Job summary

Holiday Inn Express is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support multiple properties within the same complex. The position covers preventative and repair maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds. This is a full-time role with benefits, offering starting pay at $55,000 per year based on experience.

Tasks include HVAC, electrical and plumbing repairs, pool/spa testing, and routine carpentry. The successful candidate should have HVAC/EPA certifications preferred and prior maintenance

Qualifications

• HVAC certification and EPA certification preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience required across HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Experience in building and grounds maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives direction and prioritization of projects from supervisor.
• Conducts preventive maintenance according to schedules and documents maintenance done.
• Performs repair maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Performs routine electrical and plumbing repair and carpentry work.
• Performs pool and spa testing of chemicals and manages chemical levels.
• Repairs pool heaters and pumps and handles routine readiness inspections.

Holiday Inn Express is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to join their team of professionals! This position covers multiple properties located withing the same complex and responsibilities include performing preventative and repair maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds.

FULL TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS!

Essential Job Duties Include:

• Receives direction and prioritization of projects from supervisor
• Conducts preventive maintenance according to schedules and documents maintenance done
• Performs repair maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds
• Performs routine electrical and plumbing repair
• Repairs heating and air conditioning as needed
• Performs finish work as needed
• Makes deliveries and pick-ups if needed
• Makes visual inspections of buildings and grounds continually
• Performs routine carpenter work as needed
• Performs pool and spa testing of chemicals, records levels and adds chemicals as needed
• Performs repairs on pool heaters and pumps
• Performs troubleshooting and repairs not limited to TVs, telephones, wireless and wired internet devices
• Maintains tools and order in shop and storage areas. Reports needed restock of parts daily
• Lawn maintenance as needed
• Removes snow from walks and driveways with various equipment or shovels
• Spreads Ice Melt on public passage ways to prevent ice buildup and ensures guest/ associate safety
• Operates power equipment, company van, mowers, blowers, plows, etc., in a safe fashion. Must have a clean/insurable driving record
• Communicates issues, concerns, complaints, compliments and suggestions to the management of the organization and not to other associates, guests, etc
• Supports the Company's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, philosophy, policies and procedures
