Job summary

must understand how to communicate active or potential issues.* Must be able to assess day to day operations to meet schedule expectations and elevate issues/concerns.* Strong ability to understand and communicate shift needs such as releases, potential corrections, and instrument issues with lab team members and across plant processing and filling line teams.* Create training plans for new hires; delegate trainers as needed.* Proficient and able to train new hires on all lab methods.* Provide guidance on day-to-day operations for Chem I and Chem II as needed throughout shift.* On shift liaison for FLL elevations when supervisor is not available.* Proficient and able to train new hires on all lab methods.**SHIFT****3rd Shift, 11p-7am, Tuesday - Sunday****REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*** High School diploma or equivalent, plus 1 year of appropriate college science related studies and 1 year of college mathematics (algebra, geometry, or calculus), or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.* 3+ years of experience in a lab* Knowledge of analytical lab instrumentation HPLC, GC, ICP, general titration methods, pH testing* Basic knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals.* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare simple reports, read and record gauge and display readings and use knowledge of chemistry acquired through formal education with moderate assistance from supervision.* Mathematics knowledge to include: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, proportions, and basic keyboard skills;
