Job summary

Harmony Health Group is seeking an Assistant Chef/Kitchen Staff to join our team. This full-time role requires weekend availability and pays $19-$21 per hour, with shifts from 10am to 6pm.

The responsibilities include proper storage and disposal of food, maintaining sanitation, assisting in dish preparation, and helping train new kitchen staff. A High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year kitchen experience are preferred; CPR/ HIPAA training may be provided as required.

Qualifications

• Food handling certifications that apply.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Experience with food preparation including cooking and plating meals.
• Demonstrate humility and strive for excellence.
• Able to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed.
• Communicate effectively and work with integrity.
• Experience in dining services in a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef or Dietary Aide role.
• Express compassion for residents, staff and guests on a consistent basis.
• Work harmoniously with other employees and maintain good employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Properly store and dispose of food;
• Ensure health and sanitation standards are in compliance with regulations;
• Aid culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe;
• Assist in training new kitchen staff team members;
• Aid culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe, garnishing and plating of dishes;
• Aid team in preparing dishes to recipe;
• Help cleaning and organizing in the kitchen;
• Knowledge of scheduling and food inventory.
