Job summary

Douglas County School Districts ThunderRidge High School seeks an Assistant Cheer Coach to assist the Head Cheer Coach in developing a competitive, student-centered cheer program. You will help with athlete development, program organization, communication, fundraising, and promoting the ThunderRidge Cheer program while upholding CHSAA, the district, and the high school values.

Qualifications

• Previous cheerleading experience required.
• Previous coaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong listening skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to be at practices 3:30-5:30pm during the week, at football/basketball games, and weekend competitions.
• Ability to spot tumbling preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and help Coach at practices, camps, and clinics.
• Support athlete development in leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, and accountability.
• Attend practices, football games, some basketball games, competitions, camps, and other team events.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and positive team culture.
• Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes on and off ThunderRidge campus.
