Job summary

Best Friends Pet Care is seeking an Assistant Center Manager to partner with the Center Manager and lead a lively team in delivering exceptional pet care. You will help run daily operations, oversee boarding, daycare, and grooming, and ensure safety and high standards across the center.

You’ll assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring staff while maintaining strong client relationships and positive morale. This is an on-site role focused on teamwork and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience is essential.
• Ability to assist with scheduling, payroll, and day-to-day admin tasks.
• Experience recruiting, training, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee daily operations with the Center Manager.
• Step in as acting Center Manager when needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with inventory, safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards.
• Support client engagement, respond to inquiries, and promote community outreach.
• Supervise pet care services including boarding, daycare, and grooming to ensure safety and quality.
