Job summary

Kumon Math and Reading Center of Powell is seeking a part-time assistant to support daily operations after school hours. You will teach and guide students (K-12) using the Kumon Method, with training provided on joining, and you will help students build independent learning skills.

You will communicate with parents and coordinate with fellow center staff to ensure smooth center operations, while maintaining accurate records and handling class materials.

Qualifications

• Teaching or tutoring experience with children.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organization skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage peak workloads.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily center activities and support all students during class.
• Coordinate with other center assistants and manage their work allocation.
• Communicate with parents, collect feedback, and share updates with the Center Director.
• Teach and guide students (K-12) following the Kumon Method. Kumon training will be provided at joining.
• Help students clarify questions and develop independent learning skills.
• Grade homework and classwork accurately.
• Update and maintain student records in the system.
• Organize worksheets and materials before class.
• Handle the center independently when the Director is away.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Pay: Hourly basis as per experience ($18-$20 per hour)

Job Summary:

Assist the Center Director in daily operations, parent communication, High proficiency in Math (Middle school and above), able to teach kids. Manage the center smoothly and lead other assistants as needed.
