Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time or full-time candidate with a degree in Early Childhood or a degree that meets state requirements for Head Teacher. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is preferred. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours.
Role Responsibilities:
People Leadership
- Assist the director with management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit.
- Forecast future enrollment based on annual graduation data.
- Manage center inventory including office supplies, food, curriculum, and staff recognition items.
- Manage vendor relationships, organize facilities maintenance, and coordinate technology support.
- Ensure accuracy in parent billing, accounts receivable, and collections.
- Conduct team meetings in partnership with the Center Director to communicate important information and set direction.
- Assume responsibility for the operation of the school in the Director's absence.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs for child handling, program facilitation, and emergency situations.
Customer Engagement
- Implement marketing campaigns within the center and execute local marketing activities.
- Oversee the Work and Family program, building relationships with community and business leaders.
- Utilize social media for parent engagement and retention.
- Lead tours, nurture leads through scheduling and follow-up, and maintain strong connections with potential families.
- Maintain the lead tracking portal and customer database.
- Coordinate the registration process and manage communication with families.
- Plan and manage the budget for parent engagement activities.
Customer Focus
- Lead tours with prospective families, emphasizing curriculum features and teacher quality.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
- Execute “parent pleasers” and manage events like Show and Tell.
- Maintain accurate records and files for students and teachers.
- Handle accident/incident reports and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
Qualifications:
- Child Development Associate Certification.
- Minimum of one year teaching experience.
- Knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
- CPR and First Aid Certification highly preferred.
- Meet state-specific guidelines.
- Leadership skills.
