Job summary

All Around Children in Strongsville, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Director to support daily operations, staff coordination, enrollment, and compliance. This role partners with the Center Director to ensure high-quality care and a positive family experience.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in a licensed childcare setting with leadership experience, knowledge of ODJFS rules, and CPR/First Aid certification. Competitive hourly pay and top-tier benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a licensed childcare setting, leadership experience preferred.
• Lead Teacher or Administrative Assistant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ODJFS licensing rules and Step Up To Quality (SUTQ).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Clear background checks (BCI/FBI).
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel; ProCare or similar software is a plus.
• Vaccinations: Tdap and MMR; TB Screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist Center Director with daily operations, curriculum execution, and staff coordination.
• Ensure compliance with licensing rules and SUTQ standards; communicate with staff and families.
• Serve as point of contact during Director's absence; lead staff meetings and training sessions.
• Support enrollment processes, tours, and family onboarding; maintain student and staff records.
• Assist with scheduling, coverage, and time-off approvals to maintain classroom ratios.
• Assist with budget tracking, supplies ordering, and center expenses.
