Job summary

BrightPath Kids Inc is seeking a capable Center Director for our Elmer, NJ site. You will oversee safety and supervision of children from 6 weeks to 12 years, guide classroom objectives, and support licensing compliance. Strong leadership and customer service are essential.

You will manage administrative duties, cover as Center Director when needed, and maintain open communication with families, contributing to a collaborative childcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood Education with required years of experience.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Ability to function independently in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Ensure staff understand objectives in each classroom.
• Assist Center Director with licensing requirements and internal policies.
• Handle administrative duties within the center office.
• Substitute Center Director when absent.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.

What will you be doing?

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Assisting the Center Director with adherence to child care licensing requirements as well as internal policies of the company.
• Handling administrative duties within the center office.
• Substituting as Center Director in the event of their absence.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with 2 years of work experience OR Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with 1 year of work experience required
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Must be able to function independently within the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized
