  • Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

WHAT DOES AN ASSISTANT CASE MANAGER (CASE AIDE) DO?

The Assistant Case Manager at the Welcome Center collaborates with the case management team to supervise and care for children. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Providing various services to children
  • Transporting children to placements
  • Assisting clients with application processes
  • Providing case assistance in child safety services
  • Engaging with children through activities like lice treatments, diaper changes, potty training, bathing, and comforting
  • Providing trauma-informed care
  • Performing housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation
  • Participating in professional meetings and delivering requested goods
  • Entering case notes
WHAT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES ARE HELPFUL?

Knowledge of:

  • Child welfare laws and policies

  • Court procedures regarding custody and placement
  • Child development and behavioral issues

SELECTIVE PREFERENCE:

Candidates with two years of college coursework, including at least 21 semester hours in child development, rehabilitation, social services, counseling, psychology, sociology, or related fields, are preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card from Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Successful pass of background checks and DCS Central Registry check
  • For positions involving driving, a valid driver’s license is required
  • All new hires must complete E-Verify
