Job summary

Join Mothership Coffee as Assistant Café Manager in Las Vegas. You will share accountability for café operations, financial performance, and team development, stepping in as manager on duty when the Café Manager is away.

This role provides a clear path to Café Manager, with a focus on hitting targets, leading from the floor, and driving daily improvements across service, speed, and safety. Full-time hours with open weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Shift Lead or Assistant Café Manager in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
• Working knowledge of financial metrics (labor %, waste, COGS).
• Ability to lead a team independently during manager-on-duty shifts.
• Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Card, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as manager on duty on the Café Manager's scheduled days off.
• Lead daily operations from the floor, setting the standard for service and speed.
• Drive financial performance: gross profit, labor %, and waste control.
• Build and adjust schedules, manage inventory, and place orders.
• Identify operational problems and put solutions in place.
• Coach and develop Shift Leads and Baristas through direct feedback.
• Conduct first-round interviews and provide hiring recommendations.
• Support performance reviews and disciplinary actions with fairness and clarity.
• Uphold health and safety standards in full compliance with regulations.

The Role

As Assistant Café Manager, you are the second in command. You'll share accountability for café operations, financial performance, and team development, and you'll lead from the floor alongside your team. On the Café Manager's days off, you are the manager on duty with full authority over daily operations. This role is built as a direct pathway to Café Manager.

Working Schedule

Full- time, 30- 40hours a week. Must have an open availability including weekends and holidays.

Compensation & Benefits

• $43,000 to $49,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
• Performance bonus equal to 60% of the Cafés bonus payout, based on café performance.
