Winchester Ammunition in Clayton, MO is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support sourcing activities and ensure timely procurement of materials. The role collaborates with Production, Quality, and Inventory Control to maximize supplier value and supply chain efficiency.

The candidate will convert requisitions into POs, manage material requirements, and monitor supplier performance. A minimum of two years purchasing-related experience and SAP proficiency are preferred; this is an onsite role with

Qualifications

Minimum two years of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Word and Excel; SAP experience preferred.
Knowledge of purchasing processes, MRP systems, and ISO standards is preferred.

Responsabilités

Convert purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders.
Evaluate production material requirements and issue purchase orders as needed.
Determine monthly metal requirements based on production schedules.
Resolve blocked invoices.
Send expedited reports to suppliers to confirm on-time deliveries.
Monitor and track supplier delivery performance.
Obtain certificates of origin for purchased items when required.
Coordinate Non-Conformance Material Report (NCMR) actions with Quality, Inventory Control, and suppliers.
