Position Summary

Assistant Buyer will assist with the procurement of third-party merchandise for the business area and the administrative activities required to maintain a constant and adequate flow of merchandise to the stores. They will analyze the business, manage SKU counts, and grow the Men’s RTW omni channels to help achieve seasonal sales and inventory goals. Responsibilities include attending local market appointments, assisting with writing orders, working with vendors on store trainings, creating exclusives, and supporting online and social media growth. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of retail math and Excel, and understanding of the luxury retail market are essential.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Run reports to analyze business performance and react to in-season needs by partnering with store teams and vendors.
  2. Manage merchandise transfers and track receipts to ensure balanced stock levels and maximize sell-through.
  3. Handle all stages of purchase order entry and style creation.
  4. Coordinate shipments and invoice payments with Logistics and Accounts Payable.
  5. Organize weekly product shoots for the website, collaborating with photography and web teams.
  6. Select brands/products for weekly e-newsletters and social media exposure.
  7. Create and share product knowledge for new launches and seasonal deliveries.
  8. Prepare for and attend market appointments, assisting with product selection and order compilation.
  9. Identify new brand and trend opportunities through marketplace shopping.
Experience

0-3 years’ experience in buying and/or planning preferred.
