Job summary

The Vitamin Shoppe in Secaucus, NJ is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Merchandise Buyers by advancing the business and developing merchant skills. You will assist with purchase orders, promotions planning, and cross-functional coordination across Product Development, Supply Chain, Inventory, Marketing, and Vendors.

You will build basic knowledge of buying, negotiate promotional contracts, employ planograms, and help prepare key business meetings while maintaining merchant calendars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Business Economics.
• 2+ years Buying experience.
• Experience in retail, supplement industry, consumer goods, and/or health and wellness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Buyers team under supervision and assist with purchase orders.
• Build foundational merchant skills through administrative tasks.
