We are seeking an Assistant Broker to join our growing team in Irvine, CA.

Key Responsibilities
- Review insurance applications, inspections, and other relevant documents to evaluate risk factors such as financial standing, age, occupation, accident history, and property condition.
- Assist Brokers by ensuring all required information is obtained, applications are completed correctly, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly, and necessary filings and taxes are handled in accordance with state laws.
- Prepare quotes, binders, and SLA filings as directed by the Broker.
- Support the sales and production process within the department.
- Review risks submitted by Producers, rate submissions, and issue written binders.
- Develop and cultivate carrier and brokerage relationships to place risks and grow the book of business.
- Review indications, quotes, binders, submissions, and policies for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in brokering risks and negotiating placements to improve quote-to-bind activity and production results.
- Become proficient with agency management software and suggest efficiencies.
- Issue and re-issue Certificates of Insurance as needed.
- Ensure policy forms, terms, and conditions align with quotes and binders.
- Provide telephone assistance for basic producer inquiries, referring complex questions to the Broker.
Licenses and Certifications
Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED, with 1-3 months related experience or training; or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar insurance support role.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or finance (preferred).
- Pursuing CIC or CPCU designation or similar coursework (preferred).
Compensation
Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.00 hourly. This range reflects experience, location, and other factors.
