Assistant Branch Manager role at Peoples Security Bank & Trust

Our Assistant Branch Managers deliver an exceptional experience to customers and prospects with a focus on meeting the financial needs of all areas of our community; actively seek opportunities to expand relationships; counsels clients, providing needs‑based financial solutions; guide and coach staff to meet performance objectives and assigned goals; and oversee branch office operations.

  • Maintains working knowledge of Bank’s consumer deposit and loan product offerings as well as business deposit and cash management services.
  • Engages and advises customers in person and/or virtually in order to attract, retain, and grow relationships.
  • Assists clients with deposit account and ancillary service selections in line with their needs, opening them in a timely manner.
  • Counsels clients on consumer financing options. Processes and closes consumer loans.
  • Aptly and confidently demonstrates and educates our customer base on our technology products and services.
  • Collaborates with internal partners to connect customers to experts who can help them with specialized financial services including Wealth Management, Cash Management, and Merchant Processing.
  • Provides branch oversight and training in practice of procedures and policies. Keeps up to date on changing banking regulations to ensure staff compliance.
  • Professionally represents the bank in the community by periodically attending events, tabling, and educating the public on matters of financial literacy and the bank’s products and services.
  • Oversees the daily operations of the branch. Able to efficiently process transactions as well as provide override approvals and signing authority as needed. In addition, addresses customer and staff issues in conjunction with and in the absence of the Branch Manager.

Requirements

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or General Banking Diploma preferred. Training in customer service, leadership, and relationship building and management needed.

Skill(s): Must demonstrate ability to communicate across various channels (face‑to‑face, email, video conference, text/chat, social media); good interpersonal relationship skills; strong problem‑solving skills; able to lead, coach and motivate others; possess a thorough knowledge of branch operations and administration; be conversant in consumer and business financial products and services; solid consumer lending skills; proficient in use of various types of technology and software. Bi‑lingual language a plus.

Experience: A minimum of 4‑6 years' experience in a related position normally required.
