Bluestone Bank in Massachusetts seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, coach Universal Bankers, open/close the branch, process transactions, and ensure exceptional service while driving sales goals.

The role offers a pay range of $30.00 to $34.00 per hour with benefits including health/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and volunteer hours. This is a security‑minded, community‑focused bank job.

Formación

• Two to three years of retail banking experience.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Possesses strong customer service and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to deal with customers under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy.

• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities.

• Opens and closes branch; assumes responsibility of branch in absence of Branch Manager.
• Processes, reviews and completes various transactions including accounts, wires, and document updates.
• Conducts monthly audit of cash drawers, vault, ATM, and branch security.
• Follows compliance regulations (CTR, TIS, Reg. CC, EFT).
• Cross-sells and refers Bank products and services including Wealth Management and Mortgages.
• Assists on the transaction line to meet standards and expectations.
• Leads delivery of prompt and courteous customer service.
• Schedules branch employees to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager assists in the oversight of the branch’s operational activities in order to ensure all customer needs and sales goals are met while in accordance with bank requirements and policies.

• Manages the Universal Banker training program, ensuring Universal Bankers are completing appropriate training and reviewing progress. Coaches, trains, and encourages staff participation in the sales program.
• Opens and closes branch; assumes responsibility of branch in absence of Branch Manager.
• Processes, reviews and completes various transactions, including but not limited to: new accounts and safe deposit boxes, maintaining/processing supporting records, stop payments, CD rate exceptions, wire transfers, sign treasurer’s checks, debit card applications, and updating and maintaining customer account information. Researches and resolves customer inquiries and problems; follows through or refer as appropriate.
• Conducts monthly audit of cash drawers, vault, ATM, recyclers etc. Tests alarms and maintains branch security. Maintains system access for branch staff.
• Follows compliance regulations; CTR, Truth in Savings, Reg. CC, EFT, etc.
• Cross-sells and refers Bank products and services: Wealth Management including Trust & Investments, Mortgages, Commercial, and Bluestone Bank Partners; Merchant Service, Payroll, Credit Cards.
• Assists on the transaction line when needed meeting all standards and expectations.
• Leads and participates in delivery of prompt and courteous customer service.
• Schedules branch employees while ensuring appropriate coverage
• Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 to $34.00 per hour and is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
