Job summary

White Cap is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager in Denton, TX. The role oversees branch operations in the Branch Manager's absence and supports sales profitability while ensuring accurate billing and timely processes.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years of branch leadership, familiarity with Oracle software, forklift experience, and Spanish language skills, within a company known for its benefits and growth opportunities.

• 5+ years of branch management experience.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations staff.
• Manage the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Assist in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and sales per company policies.
• Resolve branch-level problems and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Serve customers and support the counter and inside sales functions as needed.
• Ensure all sales orders are billed correctly and promptly.
• Schedule staff and monitor budgets and variances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

An Assistant Branch Manager at White Cap…

• Support the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
• Manages the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence.
• Assists the manager in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability.
• Assists with the coordination of procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales in accordance with the policies, principles, and procedures established by the organization.
• Solves problems at the branch level.
• Investigates customer complaints involving matters such as damaged items, overcharges, and shipment/delivery delays.
• Makes necessary resource adjustments.
• Manages operational branch level problems, investigates inventory discrepancies, and makes adjustments as required.
• Serves customers and supports the counter and inside sales functions as necessary.
• Ensures all sales orders are billed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Schedules staff and analyzes budgets and variances.
• Generally has 5+ years of experience.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position requires operation of a company vehicle, or a personal vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.
