Job summary

Tooele County School District in Utah is seeking an extracurricular coach to lead student athletes.

You will instruct students in sport fundamentals, develop drills and game plans, motivate academics and performance, and coordinate trips, rallies and team events. Experience as an athlete or coach is preferred. Seasonal employment with stipends paid at season end.

Applicants must have a high school diploma and be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport/activity
Experience as an athlete and/or coach
Work closely with program Head Coach
Ability to motivate, teach, and lead
Energetic, responsible, dependable, self motivated and punctual
Excellent public relation skills and work effectively with staff, parents and administration
Experience working with teens and willingness to supervise on trips, camps and competitions

Responsibilities

Instructs students in fundamental skills of the sport/activity.
Creates an environment conducive to personal development through observing and evaluating, emphasizing teamwork, and providing guidance for student athletes.
Develops sport-specific drills and practice activities to enhance team performance including exercises, game plans and teaching training rules.
Motivates students to excel academically and in sports.
Maintains a positive image for the school and team; coordinates trips and events.
Engages in pep rallies and school meetings.
