Job summary

The Itasca Area Schools Collaborative is seeking a part-time High School and Junior High Tennis Coach in Grand Rapids, MI. You will assist in organizing, directing, planning and coaching the teams to compete successfully.

You will coach student-athletes in skill development, strategies and techniques, and motivate players to appreciate the sport while aligning with the Why We Play program through the MSHSL. Compliance with rules is required.

Job description

• Position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of organizing, directing, planning and coaching the High School and Junior High Tennis Teams.
• The person is responsible for coaching student-athletes in skill development, strategies and techniques to prepare them for competition.
• Motivate student athletes to develop appreciation of the sport, and to help prepare students for life through the Why We Play program offered through the MSHSL.
• Must possess knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies and technique of the sport.
• Upon hire the candidate must complete MSHSL coaching education requirements regarding rules and other learning modules.

Salary Range: $1,692 - $2,115
