Job summary

Plainfield 202 is seeking an assistant coach to support the head coach, maintain equipment and facilities, and handle administrative duties for our program.

Responsibilities include scheduling and supervising practice sessions, organizing team events, and communicating effectively with players and staff. Qualified candidates will have coaching or playing experience, knowledge of the sport, and flexibility to adapt to practice and game schedules.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must hold a State of Illinois Professional Educator License in Will County or have ASEP Coaching requirements.
  • Alternative: State of Illinois Substitute Teaching License registered in Will County.

Responsibilities

  • Assist head coach and ensure equipment and facilities are maintained.
  • Schedule and supervise practice sessions; teach skills and techniques.
  • Organize team events and handle administrative duties.
  • Communicate effectively with players, staff and parents.
  • Remain flexible to coaching needs and schedule changes.

Salary: Placement on the appropriate schedule of the Negotiated Agreement for Extra-Curricular activities


Description:

An assistant coach supports the head coach, ensures that equipment and facilities are maintained, and performs administrative duties. Assistant coaches also schedule and supervise practice sessions, maintain training equipment and organize team events.
