Job Description

The District is pleased to announce the opening for an Assistant High School Baseball Coach for the 26‑27 season. The successful candidate will provide supportive leadership and organization to the Head Coach, help create a positive athletic environment for students grades 9‑12, and promote sportsmanship, a winning attitude, and academic success.

Job Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Skills: Exemplify moral character and serve as a positive role model for high school students.
• Knowledge: Understand high school sports programs, recent rule changes, and the ability to develop and communicate systems of participation for grades 9‑12, and to communicate effectively with athletes and parents.
• Ability: Work harmoniously with others, organize and manage student time, use problem‑solving strategies, and adapt to performing practices in indoor and outdoor locations.

Education

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: College Degree.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and Testing

Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance; district drug screening clearance; BBP Training; NFHS Coaches Certification or ASEP Certification; First Aid/CPR Certification; Vector Trainings.

Background Checks

• Drug screening test for any illegal drug or substance classified under the Federal Controlled Substances Act, including marijuana and other mind‑altering substances.
• Criminal history verification – a background check for any convictions directly related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
