Job description

The Assistant Banking Center Manager will assist the Banking Center Manager with daily operations and lead a team of sales and service professionals to meet sales goals and provide excellent customer service. This role involves developing new business, retaining, and expanding existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Overseeing operational functions and supporting staff with coaching and feedback.
  2. Processing loan applications, financial transactions, opening accounts, and selling banking products.
  3. Building relationships with customers to meet their financial needs.
  4. Generating sales leads through community outreach and developing business partners.
  5. Responding to customer inquiries to ensure positive outcomes.
  6. Ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory procedures while maintaining high customer service standards.
  7. Adhering to security procedures for opening and closing the banking center.
  8. Supervisory duties include coaching, scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations.

Required Skills:

  1. At least three years of successful sales experience, preferably in banking.
  2. Supervisory skills including leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
  3. Ability to participate proactively in sales programs and meet sales goals.
  4. Current Notary or willingness to become one at the bank's expense.
  5. Availability for weekends and extended hours.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Knowledge of banking products and services.
  2. Bilingual in English and Spanish; sales management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or sit for long periods, perform typing and repetitive motions, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Banking Center Hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m.; Saturday: 8:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
  • Candidates must be available for weekend hours.
