Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring a full-time, hourly Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) for our South Side Pittsburgh store at 1734 E Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. The ABOM blends hands-on operations with talent development and leads with accountability and ownership.

The role focuses on bakery operations, team development, and seamless execution in a fast-paced environment, with a clear path toward BOM leadership and a strong culture of guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute all core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Maintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control.
• Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new staff.
• Deliver coaching and real-time performance feedback.
• Hold team members accountable to standards while reinforcing a growth-minded culture.
• Ensure onboarding and training programs are executed to company standards.
