Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervise the Bakery team.
• Execute merchandise rotation and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and monitor bakery product quality.
• Handle store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, and promote awareness among team members.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and supervisory experience.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to give and receive directions, work in a team, answer phones, and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment safely.
• Stand for up to 8 hours, with ability to transfer trays and items as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
