Responsibilities

The Assistant Bakery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for providing excellent customer satisfaction through managing Bakery Clerks and assisting the Bakery Manager in daily bakery operations.

  • Assist in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, product quality, and team supervision
  • Manage merchandise rotation and display building
  • Monitor incoming deliveries for damages
  • Ensure high-quality customer service and product quality
  • Handle store deliveries and operate deli equipment
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, ensuring team compliance

Qualifications

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years old with at least two years of retail grocery and supervisory experience
  • Be dependable, reliable, and flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor and positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Be capable of answering phones and handling special orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area
  • Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment safely
  • Stand for up to 8 hours; lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs. as specified
  • Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and hold a Food Handlers permit
