Responsibilities

The Assistant Bakery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for providing excellent customer satisfaction through managing Bakery Clerks and assisting the Bakery Manager in daily bakery operations.

  • Assist in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, product quality, and supervise the bakery team
  • Implement merchandise rotation and display building
  • Monitor incoming cases for damages
  • Ensure high-quality bakery products and excellent customer service
  • Handle store deliveries and operate deli equipment
  • Follow safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and ensure team compliance

Qualifications

To qualify as an Assistant Bakery Manager, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old with 2+ years retail grocery and supervisory experience
  • Be reliable, dependable, and flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have a friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and good communication skills
  • Be able to answer phones, take orders, and perform general housekeeping
  • Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment safely
  • Stand for up to 8 hours, with ability to lift and transfer items as needed
  • Adhere to safety and food handling regulations, maintaining a Food Handlers permit
