Job summary

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe in Saint George, UT is seeking a part-time Assistant Bread Baker who shares our passion for quality breads and friendly, community-focused service.

In this role you will assist in creating artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads, follow recipes precisely, and support a dynamic team on afternoons and evenings, including a Sunday shift. Physical stamina and ability to lift 50 lbs are required; training provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience is preferred but training is available.
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift; ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Assistant Bread Baker, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe must possess:

• Proven track record of demonstrating superhero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one-of-a-kind breads. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies all weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
• The ability to work through change & be able to be flexible all while keeping a close eye on what's cooking!
• The schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts too
