Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Associate Athletic Director of Health, Wellness and Sport Performance, Head Team Physician, and Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for:

  • Assisting in the overall care and management of all student-athletes.
  • Managing primary responsibilities for Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Volleyball. Licensure and CEU allotments will be provided.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • 3+ Years collegiate work experience.
Qualifications
  • Collegiate work experience with volleyball.
Certificates, Credentials, and Licenses
  • Board of Certification in Athletic Training certification.
  • Possess or be eligible to possess State of Illinois Athletic Training license.
  • CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
Computer Skills
  • Microsoft Office
  • Industry-related software
Other Details

No supervisory responsibilities. Yes, operation of university-owned vehicles required. Yes, direct animal or patient contact required. Physical demands include lifting, carrying, and repetitive motions. Working conditions involve lighting, heating, irregular hours, and exposure to inclement weather.
