Job summary

Mercer University Athletics is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to join the Macon, Georgia campus. The role focuses on athlete-centered, evidence-based care and collaborating with diverse healthcare providers within a busy department.

The incumbent will coordinate services with coaches, strength and conditioning, academics, and administration, while adhering to HIPAA, university policy, NCAA compliance, and professional ethics. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field is required with some prior experience in an athletic training program.
• BOC certification and Georgia Licensure eligibility required (or eligible).
• Master's degree, dry needle and IV certifications are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide athlete-centered, evidenced-based, comprehensive health care for student athletes in intercollegiate athletics.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and coordinate athletic training services with coaches, strength and conditioning, academics, and administration.
• Comply with HIPAA, university policies, NCAA compliance, and professional codes of ethics.
• Follow Mercer University values and ethics and ensure readiness for safe return to play across primary sport assignment of women's basketball.
