This full-time position involves collaborating with the Athletic Training Staff to provide essential services to student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer collaborates with other members of the Athletic Training Staff in the delivery of Athletic Training Services to CU student-athletes. Will report directly to the Head Athletic Trainer. Additional responsibilities will include:
Qualifications: Master's Degree in related field; Must be certified by the National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification, eligible for Nebraska Athletic Trainer License.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Basic computer proficiency/skills; Ability to self-start, work independently; Strong interpersonal/human relations/supervisory skills in relationship to college students and working with the public; Must be able to comply with policies and procedures of Creighton University Athletic Department, as well as comply with all NCAA and Big East Conference rules and guidelines regarding medical aspects of sports; Must be able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor; Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive matters; Ability to support and endorse the academic program and the highest level of achievement for each student-athlete; Serve as a positive ambassador of the athletic program; Ability to travel; Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
