Assistant Athletic Trainer Job - Spring 2025

Anna Maria College invites applications for a full-time, ten (10) month, position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This individual will work as a member of the medical staff, providing for the safety and welfare of AMCAT student-athletes. Responsibilities include prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, care, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions for student-athletes.

Anna Maria College is an NCAA Division III institution, sponsoring 13 varsity sports. Starting in fall 2025, AMC will be a full member of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). The men’s lacrosse program will compete in the Northern Athletic Conference (NAC).

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Providing medical care to student-athletes, including evaluation, rehabilitation, prevention, documentation, and care of injuries.
• Supervising athletic practices and competitions according to schedule, including attending away contests when appropriate.
• Assisting in coordinating pre-season physicals, team physician visits, and off-campus appointments for student-athletes.
• Ensuring student-athlete pre-participation medical clearance.
• Communicating with coaching staff regarding all health and fitness issues affecting student-athletes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Current CPR for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Providers/BLS certification.
• Current BOC certification in good standing, and current Massachusetts licensure (or eligible).
• Valid driver’s license and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
